Here's how it works: 1. Zero the scope at 100 yds. 2. Loosen the screws on the elevation drum. 3. Turn the drum until the 100 yd. marking matches the elevation turret indicator. 4. Retighten the screws. Now you can compensate the trajectory of a bullet for any distance between 100 and 300 yds. by just turning the elevation drum to the desired elevation marking. All Sweet 17 scopes are waterproof, fogproof, shockproof and carry a limited lifetime warranty.

The increments are precisely calculated to compensate for the elliptic drop of a .17 grain bullet.
